    Here's the trick: I'm trying to remove the dark,
    semi-transparent background from ONLY the home page.

    Here's the site:
    reneefineart.com >>

    I set the home page to the "landing page" layout,
    and the rest of the pages are set on "default".

    I need to remove the background color.

    #content {
    background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.8);
    float: left;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 6% 8%;

    But when I remove the background color the dark-transparent
    layer is ALSO removed from the "default" layout. That's no good
    because I want to keep that layer in the default layout pages.

    So, it needs to be remove from only "landing page" layout somehow..

    I looked in the JS and did not see what to change there.

    Maybe it's something I can add and/or remove in a PHP file?

    Thank you!

    Thank you very much for the help.

    What you said to try almost did it. But what did work is this:

    .home #content {background-color: transparent;}

    It's still there, only transparent. Maybe there's
    another way. It works though! Perfect.

    Thanks again!
