MemberI thought I'd share some of the sites I've done using StudioPress templates Outreach Pro and Education Pro. I've also used Magazine Pro, but don't have any of those to show right now. I am not an expert, but have come a long way and am completely self-taught. My degree/background is in PR and political science. I've never had one computer class. 😉 My personal blog is http://www.jenx67.com. I used Education Pro for that, but until a couple days ago used Magazine Pro, which I really liked.
I used OUTREACH for http://www.oarcok.org. Also, Education Pro for eoddok.org and keddo.org.
Prior to discovering WordPress, I was on Blogger for several years and Open Diary before that. The only way I've learned how to do anything was looking at how others did something and then type 10 million search queries into the engines. I'm getting more comfortable with customization and hope to take my blog to the next level with some newly acquired design tips and tricks.
Thanks!

MemberThese look great well done. I'm much the same I have created a few sites myself and still learning. 🙂

MemberHi Jen. I am also learning through the "looking at how others did something and then type 10 million search queries into the engines" method. Your sites look great; much better than what I've done so far.
Keep up the good work!

MemberHi Jen,
I think the sites look great as well.
One suggestion I would have however is to let each feature image have more time on the stage, and when it is time to change to the next image do it at a reduced speed. There is not enough time to read the accompanying text and the abrupt change from one image to the next runs counter to the grace you've imparted on each site.
My best,

MemberI think you have lovely designs and lovely tast in colours for all your websites, they feel nice. the only issue for me was the slider with my small screen
I am using a laptop with a 12.1" screen. Your top menu goes into two lines which blocks the tops of the titles on the slider in http://www.keddo.org/ also, the slider goes too fats for me to read what is on each one. maybe it could move more slowly and you could heve a thing on it where viwers can click to see the next slide if they miss one?
On http://oarcok.org/ because I am using a small screen laptop I can't see the words on your slider 'above the fold'.
On your blog, the white box about generation X overlaps with the slider, so I cannot see what is written on the slider.
Your about page is lovely. How did you make the photographs tilted and look like polaroids?
