If you just upgraded WP to 4.6.1 and receive a "Fatal Catchable Error" when trying to access the admin pages (wp-admin). Here's the solution that worked for me:

1. Download Genesis 2.3.1 (latest version) from here
2. Follow directions for Installing with a FTP Client
