Can anyone advise me on what I need to do to have my images show properly as the background on the stretch theme?  Smaller images are stretching (ha, ha) and distort but larger are cut off....  Thanks!

    Hi there,

You're actually seeing the images display as they're supposed to with this theme.

On varying sizes of screens, the images will appear differently. It looks like the theme doesn't lock the four sides of the image to the screen, rather it centers it to the screen, while ensuring the image at least hits the shortest axis (up-down, left-right). I would try images that are at the width & height of the ones that are used in the demo. They are 1600 pixels wide and 1067 pixels tall.

There will more than likely be some part of the image that is cut off.

Thanks Ramsey. Unfortunately, even images that are 1067 tall are stretching higher than that.

I can make larger canvases in PhotoShop and put the images on those but it doesn't seem like I should need to do that much work.

I'd have to look at the theme code more closely, but if the screen dimensions are wider than 1600px, then the height will be quite tall, as the image's width increases. I believe the theme's code tries to maintain the image's proportions. If it didn't, then the image would be distorted, squished, etc.
