    Hi guy's,

    I've decided to move from the child theme to monochrome theme.

    I've been using simple sidebars and it worked well until i swapped the theme.

    With monochrome theme, it seems to make only use the primary side bar, even if another sidebar is selected on the page edit.

    Any idea's what I may need to do? will the theme only work with manual edits in functions.php?

    What sidebar position is not working for you?

    Thanks for the reply!

    On the Monochrome theme I've tried both layouts;

    Genesis page setting > Layout

    Primary sidebar > Content
    Content > Primary side bar.

    Both use the standard Primary sidebar widget.

    If I switch back to the genesis Sample theme, the page then uses the simple sidebars widget i've selected for the page.

    Is there something I could add to the functions.php to force simple sidebars being used?

    Or is it a case that I should just manually setup each custom sidebar in functions.php.

    @anita, Scrub that. The issue may have been how the custom sidebars rely on a plugin to allow html in the titles (HTML Widget Text) and or a combination of cycling plugin activation and themes.
