    I've just spent hours trying to edit the CSS file in an attempt to close the excessive white space between featured pages in widgets on my homepage at:

    http://www.spanish-fiestas.com/

    I've used Firebug and read lots of similar posts in this forum but I don't seem to be able to identify what I imagine is a very basic edit.

    I'd also like to change the color of the "Read More" without changing the color of all links in the site. Again I think this must be very basic but my attempts have all been in vain.

    Thanks

    Look for this and reduce the margin:

    .lifestyle-pro-home .content .widget {
        margin-bottom: 3.2rem;
    }

    See if that will adjust it the way you want.

    For your more link - add this to your style sheet above the media queries:

    .more-link {
        color: #000000;
        font-weight: 600;
        text-decoration: none;
    }

    Change the color to the one you want.

    Thanks Anita

    The more-link has worked fine.

    But there remains a lot of white space between the widgets even after changing that bottom margin to 0. It's the same issue in the sidebar.

    Is the problem maybe featured-content img? If so, I don't see a margin/padding setting for it.

    I'm not entirely sure what spot you're talking about, but if it's the sidebar images, I found this:

    .lifestyle-pro-home .featured-content .entry {

    That has a padding-bottom of 20px / 2.0rem.

    The image area itself seems to take up more space then the image itself however, which I can't quite place.

    Thanks

    Through much trial and error with the CSS I've more or less managed to close all the excessive white space that I was having issues with.

    The last problem is trying to create some space between the opening paragraph and the "Festivals in Spain" widget.

    It looks from Firebug like I could add a margin or padding to the bottom of "home-top widget-area". But this doesn't appear in the CSS. I tried creating such a class but saw no difference.

    Adding the following to Firebug does the trick (creates space between home top widget and home middle widget but it doesn't take effect once added to the CSS:

    .home-top .widget-area {
    padding-bottom: 20px;

    }

    I've achieved the same result using <br> in the text having been unable to create the space with css padding.

    Please close thread.
