Sorry for duplicating this post, but been a week and just trying to get some assistance.
I am using the Daily Dish Pro theme, and in each widget area of Home-Top, Home-Middle and Home-Bottom, I have the Show Category Archive Link box checked off and link text entered to read more posts from that category. The archive text/link appears in the Middle and Bottom sections, but I can not get it to appear in the Top section. Very frustrating.
Any thoughts as to what the problem might be would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

are you showing one category in Home-Top or are those the latest five posts?
If you are showing one category, does it have more than those 5 posts?
May 31, 2016 at 6:16 pm #186639RichardNJParticipantHi,
Home-Top is showing the latest posts, not a specific category.
May 31, 2016 at 7:07 pm #186646ChristophMemberOk. The Genesis Featured Posts widget does not really support this.
You can install Genesis Sandbox Featured Content Widget

I'm using the Genesis Featured Posts widget and the Show Category Archive Link box is checked off and link text entered to read more posts from All Categories. So why wouldn't the show more link be appearing? Seems it should be.
May 31, 2016 at 8:27 pm #186652RichardNJParticipantI also tried installing the Genesis Sandbox Featured Content Widget and all that does is adds numbered page tabs at the bottom where it should show the category archive link, however when you click on any of the numbered page tabs, nothing even happens. I don't understand how the category archive link appears in each section I have on my homepage but just not the Home-Top section. It seems like some glitch somewhere in Genesis.

June 1, 2016 at 1:14 am #186661ChristophMemberAs Chinmoy said, you are not showing a category.
You are showing your latest blog posts.
Those blog posts are in several categories.
How should WordPress know which category archive to show?If you don't want the pagination, don't select the check box.
June 1, 2016 at 6:53 am #186678RichardNJParticipantI am selecting the first option which is to show All Categories. That is how WordPress should know... to show all which would be the latest ones in order.
I used the Lifestyle theme for several years and it worked that way, as it should. I just recently upgraded my site to the Daily Dish Pro theme, and it is not working as it did before. If you select All Categories, then it should show the link to see more archive posts in order from All Categories.
Maybe there is some glitch with the Daily Dish Pro theme preventing this from working as it should.

June 1, 2016 at 7:40 am #186680ChristophMemberI´m not sure if you can access this link:
https://my.studiopress.com/setup/interior-pro-theme/widgets/genesis-featured-posts-widget-settings/
but https://www.imagely.com/docs/genesis-featured-posts/ shows the same instructions.22. Show Category Archive Link: If you have selected a single category to display in this widget, check the box to display a link to the rest of the posts in this category. Note: If you have the widget set to show All Categories, this link will not be displayed.
I recommend you open a ticket with the official Studiopress support at my.studiopress.com/help
June 1, 2016 at 9:09 am #186693RichardNJParticipantThanks for directing me to that link. Yes, I see that Note now. Very strange though because like I said with the Lifestyle theme I had in place for several years, I had it set to All Categories and had the text link read: More Latest Articles
When I changed to this new theme, I can't get it to work...although as you pointed out... it shouldn't work. Which really doesn't make sense why wouldn't... let alone why it did with other theme.
In any case, thank you for your help and suggestion. Much appreciated.
