I use AddThis sharing buttons. My homepage is set up with blog excerpts but your don't see the sharing buttons for an individual post until you click "continue reading." However, the sharing buttons are displaying on the 2nd post excerpt down called "Beautiful Gratitude." It's only on that post excerpt and it shouldn't be doing that.

I've checked all my settings within in AddThis and have uninstalled and re-installed the plugin. I've checked my settings for that individual post too but I'm puzzled why it randomly started showing those buttons on only that post excerpt. I looked in the Word Press AddThis forum and submitted a form. I noticed that in one discussion thread it talked about the theme possibly conflicting with the AddThis sharing buttons.

    Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with AddThis, but I can tell you that source code for that post has the buttons in two places. Does AddThis allow you to add the buttons on an individual post level? Or are the settings just system wide?

Thanks Victor, There is a section in the post editor where you can check: "Show AddThis Sharing buttons" which allows me to turn the buttons on/off per post. I tried un-checking the box and this removes the buttons from the post once it's open, but the buttons still show on the excerpt on the homepage. I do have my AddThis settings set to display the sharing buttons at the top and bottom of posts, but I've never had a problem with them showing up on the homepage excerpts.
