    I selected the category and excluded categories under the Genesis Theme Settings.

    I also followed these instructions on the Executive Pro theme and it doesn't seem to do anything.

    I disabled all the plugins and it still displayed other categories.

    Not sure why, but my "Connections" page is still showing other categories.... ???

    Yes. Thank you. Turns out that there are two places in the theme to select the categories that you want to show.
