I am using Authority Pro theme. I recently did a fresh install of the theme but it did not help the issue I have with the search results. I get beautiful results when I click on the Category Tag: backgrounds, but if I search for backgrounds, the results are unreadable.

How can I make the search results appear like the archive results?
Here's a link to an image that shows the problem.

The search results page should look similar to the demo - https://demo.studiopress.com/authority/?s=wordpress not one of the Archive pages.

You must have added some additional code somewhere that is conflicting with the default search results page.

I installed a fresh copy of the theme, but I still had some custom css and a custom plug-in that was messing that up. Thanks for the tip. I should have thought to look there....

Still love the way the archive looks and someday will make the search results look like that. For now, this is good enough.

One thing that would help would be to remove the sidebar. How can I do that on just the search results page?

This should force it to full width. Then add whatever CSS you may need.
