I've looked at every thread on this topic and none are solving my problem.

    Search results

This thread suggests using a code snippet but there is no code snippet for Search Results. I just want a list of pages with an excerpt, preferably one that highlights the search term.

I've tried to follow these directions to use Google Search, but I get no results on my page.

My search results page is here:

I'm just frustrated at this point and I can't believe how awful the formatting is on the Genesis delivers search results. The pages are unreadable because every last bit of text from every page is on the results page.

    Please help.

    Thanks!

Search results in Genesis are delivered by a built-in WordPress function. Genesis provides a method for changing the search results page. Go to the Genesis / Theme Settings menu, scroll down to the Content Archives meta box and change the Display dropdown from Entry Content to Entry Excerpt. Select whether or not you want to include the featured image and select the format of your pagination.
