Search result page shows only 1-3 results

Hi everyone,

I am having a problem figuring out why my search result page shows only 1-3 results when there are more matches.
I have the "Blog Pages Show at most" set to 12 posts in the Reading Settings.

I'm using Innov8tive Child Theme.

For example, when I search the word "zucchini," only one result shows up.

I also noticed that when I searched the word "apple," 3 results showed up but results were rather irrelevant.

Please help. Thank you.

Because the native WordPress search function basically sucks. isn't accurate at times.

The most accurate solution is Google custom search.

Thank you for the reply.
I actually tried Custom Search (not Google) and Swiftye Search, but the results didn't change.
I'm not sure if this is a plugin issue, but I will try Google Custom Search tonight and report here.

I tried installing Google Custom Search, but I got a fatal error and couldn't activate the plugin due to a conflict with another plugin I have. I think I will keep Swiftype for now since I like their feature of listing all the blog titles that contain the keyword as you type.
