Right Header Widget spacing issues

Please help me figure this out.

My client's site is Linux Docs

He has an ad in the right header widget and it's not lining up with the logo.
The logo is the correct size. The ad in the widget is the correct size. There are no hard returns or spaces on the html.
But it appears to be down by 2 lines. How do I get rid of the space and make it match better with the logo.

He has another site with the same theme and the ad is perfectly lined up with the logo as here:

There are 2 <br> tags added to the code in the text widget - shown below marked in BOLD. When these are removed it lines up perfectly. It's also wrapped in a <p> tag , the other site isn't.

Thank you! That worked. I didn't "see" the <br> tags as they were hidden, but deleting the space closed it.
