    How do I remove the border that shows up when a link is clicked? I have tried this for each class that each link in too but to no avail:

    a:active, a:focus
    { border: none !important; }

    It is making me crazy. What am I missing?

    You're targeting the wrong element. This is the CSS that creates the outline at line 1039 in style.css:

    :focus {
    color: #000;
    outline: #ccc solid 1px;
}
