    Hello!

Does anyone know if there's Responsive Toggle Navigation code available for StudioPress? Presently, when viewing responsive sites on http://studiopress.com/responsive the navigation menus appear awkward and take up a lot of vertical screen real estate. On their own responsive test site, when viewing on devices of widths of 240 or 320, the navigation takes up two rows. On my site, the 240 device takes up three rows.

Specifically, I am looking for the solution that has the three horizontal lines that when clicked show the full navigation menu like this: http://coffeehouse.graphicsolutiongroup.com

    Thanks in advance,
    Doug

    Hi Doug,

Sorry this is not a direct answer to your question regarding a solution, but Jonathan Perez and Travis Smith have a starter child theme named Genesis Sandbox which does have and present the hamburger menu for smaller display widths.

Give it a try and/or download and explore how they created the mobile menu. I like it!

    Hi, Marc

Well, this is the first time I've heard it referred to as the "hamburger" menu; but, it makes sense!

I checked out the Genesis Sandbox and it looks really good. Do you have examples of sites that you've build using it?

(Upon looking at the Genesis Sandbox theme, I recognize that I would have to completely redesign my site around the theme when all I want is the functionality of a Toggle Navigation (with the "hamburger" icon). Thank you, in any event, Marc!)

    With gratitude and thanks,
    Doug

Thanks for the tip about Genesis Sandbox - looks like a great framework to build themes. I wonder why the "hamburger menu" hasn't just been adopted in the resent Genesis 2.0 update? I don't know why anyone would the menu to take up so much room on a mobile device when using a responsive theme. I can see it with mobile only hand picked buttons - but, not with responsive.
