So, I have been looking online for some help on the issue and, so far, have come up short..

I am trying to override functions such as genesis_seo_site_title in the header.php file within the structure folder.

I am assuming I need to modify it in the functions.php file of my child theme, but I am having no luck finding the appropriate code for it. Traditionally, I am used to just copying a file from a parent theme to the child theme and overriding whatever I need to. This appears not to work on Genesis as I have copied over lib/structure/header.php and attempted minor changes to the function (like changing the html output code of the function). No luck, it still pulls it from the parent header.php file.

Any help? I know it must be something rather obvious that I am just missing or else there would be far more documentation on the matter... Perhaps I missed something in the manuals?

Any help would be very much appreciated!

    Thanks
    B

You can easily filter the genesis_seo_site_title using a custom function in your child themes to modify the default output.
