I'd like to remove the primary sidebar from a page template I'm creating for a child theme. Is there an easy way of doing that?

I have registered a separate sidebar that I'm using in this page template, but since I'm not using the primary sidebar, I see the default text about adding a widget.

How about this tutorial: Remove Primary Sidebar (but keep secondary!)

That kinda works, however there's no class for the primary sidebar for me to set `display: none;` on. The custom sidebar I registered is all grouped under the same div class, sidebar.

Can you provide a link to the site?  It makes it easier to troubleshoot.

Certainly. The site I'm working on is here. The special page that won't have the primary sidebar is here

Here's a silly question. Have you tried selecting the " _  " when selecting a sidebar? Or have you tried registering / creating a blank or nothing sidebar to put in there?
