Remove page/post on homepage?

Hello,

I am using Sixteen-Nine. Here's my website (half-finished): http://f88.325.myftpupload.com.

I am trying to remove the "sorry, no content matched your criteria". It works if change this:

.site-inner {
float: right;
width: 1040px;

to this:

.site-inner {
display: none;
width: 1040px;

However ...this removes inner content on all of the pages (I don't think I have a front-page.php). What I want to do is *just* remove the content on the main page. (As well as only have the photo background on the main page, and white on the others, but I haven't looked into that yet). Help would be much appreciated! I've spent forever trying to figure it out and can't hire a developer at the moment - last resort I will just make a post with a photo in it.

Basically, you want to toss the .site-inner div. I would use this tutorial from Bill Erickson as your starting point. A quick test on a dev site worked for me. You would probably not even need the do_action( 'be_content_area' ); just do the theme support and the get header/footer lines. HTH
