Remove date post from Essence pro in SERP

How can I remove the published date of my posts from google Serp with Essence pro?

I use this code but doesn't seem to affect anything. Maybe I should also remove some code?
This worked perfectly fine with Magazine Pro.

Hi Anita I think I figured it out. The code did work but Essence Pro adds the date inside the . entry-meta below the title in every post.

Now for some reason the css for .entry-meta was set to display:none so I couldn't see that the date did show up below the title and was then hidden. So I removed the get data short code from the function.

Adding the code I posted is not enough to remove the date then. It's important to also remove the get data from the function.php
