    I'm using the News Pro theme. On my homepage, http://www.familyfunjournal.com, I would like to remove the box that says Filed Under. I just want the posts to be listed one after another, without the extra spacing.

    I would really appreciate any assistance! Thanks!

    One way to remove this area is to use the Genesis Simple Edits plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-simple-edits/) .

    After installing and activating the plugin go to Genesis-->Simple Edits and delete content in the "Post Meta" field.

    Thanks for your response. I tried this option and it only removes the text from the space. It doesn't remove the extra spacing.

    I decreased the impact by making everything 0, but a space is still there. I made the dotted line pink to integrate more into my site.
    I assume this code is not used beyond the post summaries on my homepage and it will not impact any other spot on my site.

    .entry-footer .entry-meta {
    border-top: 1px dotted #e81857;
    margin: 0 0px;
    margin: 0 0rem;
    padding: 0x 0px 0px;
    padding: 0rem 0rem 0rem;

    A simple method would be to hide it with your CSS: .entry-footer {display: none;}
    Do this for entry-meta also if you want to hide your byline.

    You could also nuke the entry-footer with the third Gist on this page:

    Tom' s method is best. Hide it with your CSS: .entry-footer {display: none;}
    Do this for entry-meta also if you want to hide your byline.

    Thanks!
