    Hi,

    My blog URL is http://www.minterest.com/ and I'm already using Yoast SEO plugin. So I don't see Genesis SEO options. But still... I think somehow Genesis is pushing site name to titles...

    I see that when I open a page it's using Yoast defined Title format but when I share pages on social media the somehow my site name appears in another format than the defined one in Yoast.

    I just asked Joost (Yoast) if he happened to know off the top of his head if the issue was likely to be in his plugin or Genesis. He immediately replied and said it was a bug in his plugin, and it would be fixed in the next release.

    On a slightly different note... I thought I'd ask here given it is slightly related. I just installed Yoast SEO and I noticed all the Genesis SEO options got turned off. I suppose that's the way it works right? Unfortunately, it also hid all me previously added meta descriptions in the process, so now I can't even copy them over to the Yoast all that easily.

    Any tips? I only installed Yoast to use the feature of redirecting image attachment pages to the parent post to avoid duplicate content. Wish Genesis had that feature integrated.

    Hi.. You have to create a new topic to solve your issue... but yeah... that's how it works.. if you have Yoast SEO plugin  installed then Genesis SEO options wont appear... And I guess there must be a way to import your Genesis SEO data... When you deactivate Yoast SEO the Genesis SEO option re-appears.

    eluviis - you can use the SEO Data Transporter plugin to convert all of the Genesis SEO meta data to Yoast's SEO meta data (and between several other theme and plugin formats).

    @Garyj - Hi, I did it yesterday, thanks. And big thanks to Brad Dalton too. The conversion was easy and I didn't lose any data. Not only that, but configuring Yoast's WordPress SEO was quite intuitive even without reading the manual or watching the video. The best part is that if it doesn't work out for me in the end, I can always switch back rather easily. So far I like it though.

    Hi...I've loaded the Yoast's SEO v1.4.7. I'm getting two post titles. Is there a way to get rid of one of them? Look here: http://www.matrixmarketinggroup.com/2013/05/15/facebook-business-page/

    Hi @schigk,

    Tweak the Settings of your Yoast Plugin. It must be the SEO template issue....

    Any hint where I'd do that in the Yoast Plugin?

    @schigk,

    Go here http://www.YOUR-DOMAIN-NAME-HERE.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpseo_titles#top#template_help (or the applicable location).

    Or else go to your WP Dashboard > SEO > Titles & Metas

    You can change the template there and go to Help tab to learn different formats.

    @maheshone thanks for the help

    Here's where I'm at.

    1. I used a custom function

    <?php
    remove_filter('wp_title', array($wpseo_front, 'title'), 10, 3);
    }
    ?>

    This removed the double title on the Blog page.

    2. The post still show double titles. Not sure what to do there???
