If we were to reinstall WordPress, would all of our website data be stored in our Genesis theme or our Agency Pro child theme, or would we have to recreate our website from scratch?

Neither. It's stored in your WordPress database.

Your child theme should store your theme modifications.

Make sure you backup your files and database before reinstalling.

Why do you need to do this?

    Thank you for your response.

We think it may be necessary given that an important file in the "wp-includes" file was deleted by accident while cleaning up our site after it was hacked.

If you have any suggestions or alternatives, please let me know.

To clarify, would we need to download our "wp-content" folder first to preserve all the content on our website?

Secondly, is there a way to just delete and upload the "wp-includes" folder?

That's quite correct, but if you haven't done so already, you ought to take a back-up first of your files and database

All WordPress content is stored in the database. Reinstalling WordPress will not cause you to lose content.
