What happens if I reinstall genesis framework and genesis sample from within WordPress?
I tried so many things when I first set up my pages, and I wish to start over without losing the media and content pages

Media and content are in the database. Everything should remain intact if you reinstall. Make a database backup first just in case.

Go ahead and re-install the Sample child theme, you won't lose your media or pages.

The process went smoothly enough, the framework had an activate button. But the genesis sample did not have an activate button but I installed it. So the site looked pretty much as it did before so I a m unsure it actually 'took'.
Where do I look or how do I ascertain I'm now running 'clean' theme files?
Really, I spent a lot of time downloading and editing, and I it all purged.
Thankyou for your patience and support.
