I would like to reduce the gap between the last text in the main content area and the links in the footer. At first I thought the problem was in the width of the footer but now I think the problem is in the main content container. Anyway, I'd like to get the footer closer to the last of the main content text. I am looking at the area in the Chrome Inspector but am confused about how to edit the CSS.

I have Genesis Sample and am new to WordPress.

The .entry css at line 1217 in style.css has a bottom padding of 50px and the .site-footer css at line 1473 has a top padding of 40px. Reduce one or both until you're happy with the display.

You resolved my problem. Now I know how to increase or decrease the space between the main content and the footer links. But I have one more problem concerning the footer links. I'll describe that problem in another post though.

    SJL,

I see that this reply is marked private. I don't know how to access a private message. By the way, the reducing white space problem has been solved.
