Recent Posts Widget – Customize

I have a Recent Posts Widget in my Footer.

The Widget presents the Title as the hover color from the actual blog post. However my blog post hover color is the same color as my footer; so the post title is not visible. I want the Recent Post titles to be white. How can I make the titles white without changing the hover color (because white will not work on the Blog Post Page)

color: #ffffff;
}

Hi I attempted this fix for kind of the same issue. except my Recent Posts widget is located in the middle homepage widget area. My title of post is black (dark grey) and I want to change the colour of it to red when I hover on it. Am I on the right track with the above code?
