    I have the Genesis framework and am looking to add the Business Pro child theme to my site. My question is about the header image. On the demo it is very gray. Can you use a regular photo that is colorful for this theme, or does it automatically add the gray scale to it?

    Hi,

    you can remove or lighten the overlay by changing the CSS.

    It automatically adds the gray no matter what the image is. If you are comfortable editing CSS, you can remove it. Look in the stylesheet for:

    .page-header::before {
        /* Look for this */
        background-color: rgba(35, 44, 57, 0.9);
    }

    You will also probably need to change the font color of surrounding text such as the site title, the navigation, and the headline in the center, since they're set to white.

    Brock,
    I do not know CSS code. May I assume you or someone on this forum would be able to walk me through it?

    You can remove it without CSS. Go to Appearance/Customize/Colors. Then click on Overlay Color. There is a percentage slider you can move to zero.
