    Workstation pro has a section in customization for "Front Page Background Images" on the site I'm working on it is displaying a large yellow rectangle. This is correct (though I'd like it to fall right under the rainbow header....)

    Anyway, I'd like to place text on top of this yellow background image that could be changed from time to time. I've tried adding page text, featured page widget and text widget. None go on top of the background.

    Suggestions?

    THANK YOU!

    You can do this with two simple mods.

    In functions.php add this code to the "Register widget areas" section:

    genesis_register_sidebar( array(
    	'id'          => 'front-page-bg1',
    	'name' => __( 'Front Page Background Image 1 Widget', 'workstation' ),
    	'description' => __( 'This is the front page background 1 image content widget.', 'workstation' ),
    ) );

    In front-page.php find this code ...

    	if ( ! empty( $image_section_1 ) ) {
    		echo '<div class="image-section-1"></div>';
    	}

    ... and replace it with this code:

    	if ( ! empty( $image_section_1 ) ) {
    		echo '<div class="image-section-1">';

    	genesis_widget_area( 'front-page-bg1', array(
    		'before' => '<div id="front-page-bg1" class="front-page-bg1"><div class="flexible-widgets widget-area wrap' . workstation_widget_area_class( 'front-page-bg1' ) . '">',
    		'after'  => '</div></div></div>',
    	) );
    }

    Now you can add content to the new widget area "Front Page Background 1 Image Widget" and add styling to suit.
