    Hi,

    I have got the code from Google Analytics page and pasted in the header section under Theme settings, but since two days, I am not getting any stats for google analytics. Any reason for that or I am doing something wrong.

    If you added the Google Analytics codes correctly it sometimes take a day of so to see your stats give it time it should progress.

    To speed up the process please post the link to the website in question.

    We recommend using Firebug to view source codes http://getfirebug.com/

    Thanks, Its been two days now.

    Pretty new to coding. in one another thread someone suggested to copy it in footer also. Not sure if I am following it correctly by pasting it in header only.

    I copied the code along with the < script> in the biggining and the end like the folloiwng. Am I doing it right ?

    <script>
    .........
    </script>

    You might want to take a look at the following plug-ins http://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/adsense there might be sometime better to use your AdSense..

    Google Analytics offers two kinds of tracking. If you opt for the new tracking you will get the non-javascript code and pasting it into the head section of Prose will result in a 'tracking not installed' message on GA.

    Opting for the older 'classic' tracking will give you a script that starts with

    script type="text/javascript

    and this will work.

    Hello,

    I too opted for Universal tracking in Google Analytics - since eventually we will all have to upgrade from the Classic tracking anyway. I am not sure I can go back an change to Classic tracking??

    Where then, do you place, the non-javascript code to make it work? Can someone please explain this to me.

    I am using a WebSavvy Child theme (i.e. Elbe Blake) on the Genesis Framework, and about to install and set up a StudioPress Child theme (i.e. Balance) on the Genesis Framework.

    Thanks.
