I have a search box set up for the front page position one widget, with a graphic below, but notice a very large top margin above the search box which I can't get rid of?
I've searched the forum and my own code to try and make this top margin much small, without success.
There's no top margin. The height of the front-page-1 widget area is dynamic. It changes with the height of the screen. This means it's controlled by jQuery in front-page.js. This file is loaded in front-page.php. If you edit the .js file, you can comment out the window resizing function.
thanks for this ... I think I am beginning to see how it works, I guess the more there is on the home page in various widget positions then the hight the search box will go... will continue to experiment. Guess I could always do a static page and not use the widgets?
