I would greatly appreciate any ideas here!

The situation: I have a primary nav menu, that I've moved below the header. On the interior pages of the site, I made this menu fixed, so that it didn't get hidden behind the header. Now I am having a couple z-index/stacking problems with elements on the page scrolling over the menu. But because it's fixed, I can't apply z-index for a simple fix.

The site is here: http://ywre.builtbybobbie.com/columbia-sc-homes-for-sale/ (this page is a good example as the properties overlap the menu on scroll.)

It's password protected while in development.

Might be a javascript issue - the secondary navigation constantly is changing its opacity?!

You can change the z-index to the nav to 1000. Fixed, relative, and absolute accept z-index. The problem is with the structure, right now and even when the z-index is changed the logo a href covers up the first two menu hot spots, that's not easily solved and it's not with CSS alone ... you'd have to put the menu site header first in the structure, position relative. The nav comes second, position relative or static. Then on window scroll past the height of the site-header, fix the nav (there's jQuery for that) to add and/or remove based on position and then you need to remove the link inside the title area so that the link doesn't cover up the hot spots of the menu when the user is not scrolling. It's a lot of work.

You're right carasmo. That simple z-index 1000 did work.

As for the logo overlay, that was next on my list. I'll tackle that now. Thank you for the direction there!
