Been playing with the Pretty Picture theme on a local install.

Tried out the Quote post format and used the html from the demo site for the code.

Used the following html for the quote...

When a website is responsive, the layout and/or content responds or adapts based on the size of screen they are presented on.
A responsive website automatically changes to fit the device you’re reading it on.

Quote looks fine when you view the post

but formatting disappears when you look at the quote on the blog page.

On the demo the quote formatting looks fine on the blog page.

    Any thoughts?

My best guess is that if you're using the excerpt of the blog post, or a limited-character content display that generates a "read more" link for the post, it will strip out the formatting. This is a WP thing. Try using "show content" rather than "excerpt" and you'll probably see the formatting. There is a plugin I've used that enables the formatting to still show in an excerpt. Let me find that and I'll post it here for you.

    Here it is: Advanced Excerpt

You got it in one - many thanks.
Changed to "show content" and all formatting shows on the blog page.

And thanks for the link to the plugin... much appreciated.

I am also using Pretty Pictures. I would like the quotes to show on my blog without any of the plugins, like related posts and also to not have comments and not to be sent out to my followers. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this?
