ParticipantI know that Premise has its own support and all that but there's no other place to communicate with Premise users so I thought I'd let others know, so they don't have to deal with this glitch.
We updated to WP 3.6 over the weekend and a main function in the Premise plugin is not working. It's the Complimentary Product feature, where you can grant a user access to a product from the admin screens. The response from Copyblogger is that we should roll back to WP 3.5.2 and that they will have a patch out later in the week.
If you're using Premise and you rely on this feature then you might want to hold off on upgrading your WP instance.

ParticipantThanks, Friend!
I have Premise but I didn't get wind of this at all. I'm not quite sure why they don't announce this sort of thing on the various SP blogs, and that's nettlesome, frankly. Oh well, at least one can find out by doing Genesis searches on Twitter.Fortunately, I don't update immediately to a new release of WP, or even Genesis, preferring to wait a little bit so that the bugs are fixed first. ๐

Yeah, me too - usually! Had just updated to Premise 2.5.1 last week and thought everything was hunky dory. Got a little ahead of myself by pushing to WP 3.6 so fast but it all looked fine in our test environment... we clearly didn't 'test' enough! (and we're not the only ones, apparently...!)
In agreement with your statement

ParticipantNice code there! ๐
I didn't grab the new Premise yet, I'll wait a bit!I'm all over Genesis 2,0, I've been testing the beta/RC for that for weeks, so I'm rock solid with that. I didn't get a good chance to look at WP 3.6, though, thus my hesitancy to grab it.
Much of the WP 3.6 "Holy $%$%$!!" stuff I'm seeing in the WP forum has to do with jQuery problems. Like the new editor Media changes may need squishy stuff like browser cache clearing or just "trying again". My fave lightbox gallery was like that. Other than that, I'm mostly AOK.
Good luck on the other fallout!

ParticipantWhen we asked Premise support about this on 8/5 they said that an update would come "later this week." That's come and gone and no news yet. Has anyone else been in contact with Premise?
Worried about all these big updates happening at once. Genesis 2.0 doesn't look as straightforward as has been promised but before we can even start to think about handling that, we need to get this Premise plugin taken care of, or else we can't go to WP 3.6.
Lack of communication from StudioPress/Copyblogger is indeed frustrating.

MemberSame issue here.
Contacted Premise support, about a 4 hours later they contacted me back:We are aware of an issue with WordPress 3.6 and Premise which is affecting the complimentary products... We have a fix and are testing this while also looking to make sure that this conflict is not affecting other items we have not discovered. I hope to see this fix released very soon

MemberJust so everyone knows, there was a change in WordPress 3.6 that caused problems. We were using WordPress 3.6 beta and RC during our testing and this did not come up for us until after we released Premise 2.5.1, otherwise we would have patched it for that.
We are in final testing on this and hope to have Premise 2.5.2 released very soon. It is very important to us that we not rush the patch even though this is something we want to release quickly. We would not be well served by releasing a 2.5.2 patch only to find other issues that need to be addressed in a 2.5.3 or worse, to have this patch break sites because we didn't test to the best of our abilities.
Thanks for your understanding and for bringing this to the attention of users who may be waiting on the WordPress update.
I'm going to close this thread. At this time the StudioPress forums is not ideal for communicating with Premise users since only a small portion of potential Premise users participate here. We are looking into potential solutions for providing a place for our Premise community, but at this time we don't have that option available.
