As the title declares, are you able to combine the magazine theme with some plugin for example and let logged in users submit either content+title+pic, or url to article+title+pic?

You can allow contributers to submit content including images for approval. The admin moderates the content.

Simply change the role when they subscribe or change the default role to contributer. No need to install a plugin as membership is built into WordPress.

Thanks for your answer braddalton! However the question I'm having is wether you can easily allow front-end submissions, like how it works on this theme from TF. http://themeforest.net/item/cube-frontend-multimedia-publishing-wp-theme/5248083

I'm sure there's a plugin you can install to add that feature to any theme.

The benefit of using a plugin rather than a feature which is hardcoded into the theme is you can easily uninstall it down the track if you no longer need that feature.
