Our website was recently hacked and required deletion of a few infected files. Unfortunately, we think an important one was deleted by mistake.

When we go to create a new post, the "Tags" section is still on the page, but we are unable to add any new tags or "Choose from the most used tags." We can type in the tag box, but nothing happens when we click "Add" or the "Choose from the most used tags" option below.

In addition, when we are in the "All Posts" view, the "Quick Edit" link no longer works. When clicked, nothing happens.

Does anyone know why this is occurring and how to remedy it?

I would reinstall WordPress and if that doesn't work, then look for plugin conflicts.

    Thank you for your suggestion.

If we were to reinstall WordPress, would all of our website data be stored in our Genesis theme or our Agency Pro child theme, or would we have to recreate our website from scratch?
