    Hi Everyone:

I am thiniking of getting the Enterprise Pro Theme.

Is it possible to EASILY use a responsive slider in the top half of the Enterprise Pro theme instead of the featured page widget?

Or would it require a lot of work to do so? (If you have sample code or suggestions on how to do it, that would be appreciated.)

    Thanks in advance.

Very easy to add a slider in any SP theme.

You can install the Genesis slider and drag the widget into any widget area

Or hook a slider like Soliloquy or Easing slider into any genesis hook position.

    Thanks for the tip, Brad:

I guess what I would REALLY like is to have two "columns" in the top half, where the left hand column would be the slider, and the right hand column would have a paragraph of text that doesn't change. Basically a slider widget and a text widget side-by-side.

Do you have a suggestion on the best way to do this.

If I put the slider widget, and then a text widget, into the widget area, the slider will be ABOVE the text widget (I am pretty sure... that's the way it works when I try it in Agency pro theme).

But I want them side by side instead of one above the other (at least when viewed on a DESKTOP computer). AND be responsive when on a mobile device.

I am still kind of hit or miss on hooks. I usually use genesis simple hooks when I need to plug code into some place, although I don't think you can call a widget using genesis simple hooks (just php and short codes).

Thanks in advance for pointing me in the direction I need to go with this.

    Hmmm...

Another thought: Is it possible to put a slider widget INSIDE of a text widget?

So in the single widget area for the top half of the home page, put a TEXT widget that two DIVs, with the div on the left calling the slider widget and the div on the right displaying text.

All within a single text widget.

But then, how to make it responsive? (If it would even work?)

Yes, you can put the shortcode in a text widget as long as you also add support for shortcodes in widgets.

You could use column classes or 2 widgets inline.
