I just finished my redesign on my new site and don't know how to make the blog page if the front page has to be set to recent posts

go to Pages - Add New

Create a page called Blog and assign the Blog page template to it via the Attributes area in the sidebar area

Then go to Genesis Theme settings and scroll down to the blog page settings area and configure.

Ok, try resetting your permalinks and see if that has any effect. Also check what the page slug is for your blog page.

Permalinks did not work ... I've tried everything I know of
