Hello.  I use (and highly value) the magazine theme for my website www. spanglishnoise.com.  I’m beginning to experiment with ads and am interested in seeing if there’s a way to place a banner ad below the top menu (ie. Home, About, Staff, etc) and right above the main header of my site that currently says “Spanglish Noise” in blue.  I installed the simple hooks plugin, but can’t quite figure out how to set up my ad space in this manner.  Do you have any instructions or advice?

    Did you follow this:

Placing an Advertising Banner Above Your Header
If you would like to show an ad banner above your header, you can do so by placing your ad code in the ‘Header Hooks’ box and in the genesis_before_header section of the plugin page.

Thanks Susan.  I think what threw me off is the color difference that results in my background.  Do you know how I can make the background behind the “Spanglish Noise” header the same dark gray as the new banner space we just added above it? That should solve my question completely – I appreciate the help!
