Hello,
I'm using the Altitude Pro theme and I'm looking for a photo gallery plugin that will create a slider in a light box with multiple images after clicking on a single photo.
If you look at the 3rd front page widget of the "rooms and rates", there are 3 photos currently. When you click on one now, a lightbox pops up where you can scroll through the other 2 photos.
What I'd like to do is click on only one photo and the lightbox to display other photos in a slider setting that is not currently displayed in that widget. So for the 3 photos that are currently displayed in that widget, I'd like to for example click on one of them and have a lightbox of perhaps 5 photos for that particular photo.
In other words I'd like to set up each photo as a different accommodation or room type and when you click on one of them, there will be more photos of that particular room type in a lightbox.
Does this make sense? Is this possible at all?
I tried with Next Gen and put 3 different galleries inside an album, but the thumb nails looked too small and aesthetically unappealing. Plus the plugin wasn't particularly smooth when transitioning.
If this isn't possible is there an alternative way of displaying the photos? I just don't want a gallery of 10-20 photos hogging up space on a page or widget.
Thanks in advance for any help 🙂

Even with loading one thumbnail on the page (and for example, 6 that will only show in the popup)... and another thumb (with 4 attached for a popup)... etc - you're loading all of those images - even the ones you can't see. If load time isn't your issue, and you just want to make it visually appealing, I like the https://wordpress.org/plugins/envira-gallery-lite/ and it opens thumbs in a lightbox. I recommend using a regular image as a thumb, and putting a link on the thumb to the lightbox gallery. That way you don't have to play with getting a 'front image' or a 'thumb' for each gallery to show up nicely. Just do the thumbs manually. 🙂
Let me know if that doesn't work.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm actually using Envira Lite right now. I tried your suggestion but when I go to attach the link, it gives me the option of linking to: Media File, Attachement Page or Custom URL. Only the Custom URL allows me to put anything in. Putting in the short code doesn't work. So how would I link the lightbox gallery to the single thumbnail?
Not really sure where to go from here 🙂
