Hello, I am looking to password protect a specific link on my home page to this site. Basically when you click on the link I'd like a text box to pop up asking for a password. It's honestly not for security reasons but more or less to discourage certain users from going to that part of the site. Is there a simple way to do this? I'm reading on WP that you can just enter in a password on the edit side of WP, but because it is a page and not a post I'm not seeing anything.

    Thanks!

You can use a plugin or add code to your front page file.

If you hand code it, you'll need to get them to register.

You can redirect your front page if you want to hide it.
