    Hello
    when I select a certain page being the home page and e.g. select the landing page template to be the active template, I'm still getting header, navigation, footer, etc. - the page template is ignored - if I don't set the page as the static home page, the template works.

    what am I missing - how do I set a custom template for a static home page?

    Could you please provide a link to the site in question? Also, what is the page that you are designating as the static homepage? The url's.

    Without seeing the site or even the theme I can't give you any answers.
