Has anyone used the Oxygen page builder with Genesis? If so, what did you think about that combination of products—especially when compared with Divi, Beaver Builder, or Elementor?

Oxygen completely disables the WordPress theme system. You can't use Oxygen with Genesis.

Thanks, Victor. I realized that after I posted this question. I know in the past you were not to keen on Divi because of its bloated codebase. Have you tried Oxygen? If so, what are your thoughts?

I still love the Genesis platform and StudioPress themes, especially when combined with Atomic Blocks, but there are some projects where more customization options would be helpful.

I use Beaver Builder in projects now and newbie clients like it. Elementor is really heavy and bloated. Not user friendly IMO.

I bought Oxygen when it first came out and used it in my dev environment. I don't like it. It's definitely not as flexible as using WordPress themes. I do know that Sridhar Katakam spend a lot of time with it and wrote quite a few tutorials for the Oxygen Facebook group. Perhaps you could reach out to him and ask about his experience? https://sridharkatakam.com/

I have seen that there is a plugin that allows Oxygen to be used with themes. In essence, Oxygen is used for those unique pages which require some special design capabilities.

My impression is that Gutenberg blocks are rapidly becoming more capable of doing a significant piece of the customization required of builders (not yet a complete replacement).
