    I want to use a background image for the content area but the only options for the content area are color changes. How do I override this?

    Which specific section - do you want to add background image? Please elaborate.

    As such you can add background image to any section by modifying css code of that section(s).

    Your website has background image, while wrap (inner area) has this #ffffcc color as background. To use background image in this area - in style.css file look for following code

    #wrap {
    background-color:#ffffcc;

    change this to

    #wrap {
    background: #ffffcc url(images/bg.jpg) no-repeat;

    Upload bg.jpg image to images folder of your theme.

    I had already tried that, but it doesn't work...it does in Firebug, but not when I change it in the style.css

    I'm thinking the Design Settings somehow take precedence.
