    Hi Everyone,

When I click on MailPoet in the dashboard, it takes me to a page that says the following message:

Notice: Indirect modification of overloaded element of WP_Hook has no effect in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas06_data01/05/3182505/html/wp-content/object-cache.php on line 664

My client is not able to access any of his Mailpoet newsletters or subscription lists. He only sees a page with this message written multiple times.

I'm not sure what it means or how to get his newsletters back and set things back to normal. Does anyone have experience with this message?

    Thank you so much.

Try a Google search for: Indirect modification of overloaded element of WP_Hook has no effect

There are a couple recent articles discussing a similar issue.

This appears to be a bug in WordPress 4.7 that is fixed in the 4.7.1 release. This trac seems to be related: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/39132

Thanks so much for your post! I did more research this morning, and from what I've been reading, it seems to be happening to sites that are hosted by godaddy. I went on to the godaddy forum and found a posting with the same error message, and an employee posted something that seems it has to do with the wordpress update and godaddy upgrades:

    Here is what he wrote:
To support the PHP 5.6 upgrade, we upgraded the caching tier to Redis. Unfortunately, this is causing performance issues in some datacenters, which is what you're seeing. We're working on a fix now with the goal of rolling it out in the next week or so along with the rest of the PHP 5.6 upgrades.

If this is the case, it looks like it is out of my hands until they find a solution.

It's fixed. I called godaddy and the rep said he edited the cache, and that cleared up the problem. Thanks to everyone who responded to my post, I appreciate it.
