I'm a total amateur on WordPress and operating on a very low budget. I put this blog together and the response has been very good. I just wonder how it looks from a design perspective. I'm using Atmosphere Pro. I wanted to keep it pretty bare bones.

I found that when putting my signature picture on frontpage-one as intended for Atmosphere Pro, things didn't resize well for mobile; it cropped off the important aspects of the picture. I ended up putting the picture in a widget on frontpage-two and it works well on the phone as it scales down and keeps the whole picture intact.

The links on the homepage to my six key articles are simply text widgets. I think I'll need to figure a way to put links to my most recent blog posts on the front page also --- I want to avoid putting additional pictures to keep things uncluttered.

Any suggestions --- it needs to be easy!

Whoever said I could put together a blog in a weekend was smoking something! 🙂
