I inserted code which changes the default to a youtube video to width=600 and height=400.
I've inserted the youtube video onto the subfooter-left widget. However, the video doesn't scale larger to what I wanted it to.
When I checked the post the video scaled to the specified width and height that I inserted into the functions.php.
I'm kind of stuck on what I need to do in order to make the frontpage video scale larger.
Can anyone give me some kind word of advice on what I'm doing wrong?
The website is http://www.seniorcarefoundation.org
I'm using the Outreach child theme.
Your video is being displayed in an iframe with a width of 500 and a height of 281. I'm trying to help, but your site just crashed with a php error: Fatal error: Cannot call overloaded function for non-object in /home/seniorcarefound/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp.php on line 529
I'm so sorry that I made your system crashed and please accept my deepest apologies.
The site is up and running again and I removed the code that caused the crash.
I just want to enlarge the youtube video to take up more of the white space on the front page. Its on a widget called the Subfooter-left widget.
If you can offer some word of advice on how can make this to stretch out to take up the white spacing that would be great.
Thank you Victor and hope you have a awesome day.
Even though it's easy to embed YouTube videos in WordPress, WordPress will automatically resize videos based on where it is being displayed. You could try to use a plugin like Viper's Video Quicktags. It may allow you to force the size you want.
Thank you for your suggestions. I'll go and try that.
