Hello - I have the Outreach Pro theme and it wasn’t apparent during the demo that the “sub footer left” and “sub footer right” shows up on every page. How do I change the code to allow it to only stay on the home page. I was going to use that space for a welcome letter. Any help or direction would be great. Thanks!

March 29, 2019 at 12:13 pm #490348stylishmomMemberOddly, the tutorial steps for me ended up removing the section. I followed the steps and cleared my cache and waited a few days and it did the same thing. Not sure what happened.

It only leaves the left and right widgets on the home page only. I don't know how you implemented the code, but maybe review your code again.

March 30, 2019 at 4:30 am #490364Victor FontModeratorIf I'm reading your original post correctly, you want the sub-footers to display on the home page, but if a user navigates to the a different page, you want the sub-footers to go away and display a welcome letter in their place. Is that correct?
If so you can add an additional widget area before the footer for the welcome letter, then building on Anita's code, toggle between the welcome letter and sub-footers depending on whether the user is on the home page or not.
This requires modifying both functions.php and front-page.php.
I'm a little pressed for time today so I can't provide you with code examples. But if this is what you want to do, let me know and work out some code next week.

Victor

Have you requested your free website audit yet?April 1, 2019 at 8:53 am #490408stylishmomMemberThanks Victor, to clarify - my request is for the "subfooter left and right" to only display on the home page. I didn't want them on the other pages. The welcome letter reference was because that is what will be pasted for the home page only. I have cleared my cached, but its not displaying properly.
April 1, 2019 at 8:57 am #490409AnitaCKeymasterYes, please clarify what you want. Your original message says:
...it wasn’t apparent during the demo that the “sub footer left” and “sub footer right” shows up on every page. How do I change the code to allow it to only stay on the home page.
I created the code so that "sub footer left" and "sub footer right" stays on the home page.

April 1, 2019 at 9:01 am #490411stylishmomMemberHi Anita, yes that is my goal -- For the sub footers to only display on the homepage. Even though I cleared my cache and reviewed, the entire area disappears now.
