    Hey all,

    I have a question regarding the navigation bar. I currently have it so that when you hover over the menu options, it will highlight the option in white. When you click through to one of the main pages, the option remains white to show that you are currently on that page. However, if you go to one of the sub-pages, the highlight is no longer visible on the navigation bar. Instead, if you open up the sub-menu then you will see that the highlighted page.

    What I want to do is have it so that when you are in a sub-page, the main navigation bar option will also be highlighted in addition to the sub-menu.

    Is there a quick CSS snippet that I can throw in there to make this happen?

    Thanks!

    Yes, there is. Slip this snippet into your child theme stylesheet before the media queries or include with the navigation section. Set your colours and adjust as necessary to suit your theme. This should also work on any WordPress theme.

    .current-menu-parent > a,
    .genesis-nav-menu .current-menu-ancestor > a {
        background-color: lime;
        color: chocolate;
    }
