Have learned how to change the widget area from 4 columns to 3. Is it possible to set them to different widths with css?

Actually don't have the widget area set up yet because I have been researching the topic but here is the site thus far

Let me clarify. I would like the first column to be 50 percent and the other two 25 percent. Thanks
