I want to create menu options whereby the text has no colored background, but instead has an outer glow. Any guidance on CSS or other means of accomplishing this would be appreciated.

Outer glow on text in CSS can be achieved with text-shadow. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/40393497/text-outer-glow-effect-using-css

This is my website http://petercruikshank.com/ It is WordPress with a Genesis framework by Studiopress. I use Genesis to incorporate Custom CSS. I'm pretty sure the recommended CSS snippet will work find, but I need to figure out how to specify it, in the snippet, for just the Menu text.
