Not able to find code to change footer text in functions.php

Hello everyone,
As described here, http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/footer/
I am not able find the code to change entire footer text in functions.php of sample theme.

Can anyone tell me how can I change footer text without installing any new plugin?

The code is not in the Genesis Sample Theme by default. You will need to add it. The third option is likely the one you want "customize the entire footer text". See below.
